In the days leading up to the 1936 Olympics, the fate of high jumper Gretel Bergmann hangs in the balance, as the Nazis deliberate over the question of whether or not a Jewish athlete can be part of the German Olympic team.

The Americans and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) demand that Jewish athletes are not to be excluded from the event, especially Gretel Bergmann, thus putting the Nazi Olympic Committee in great difficulty. Although they have no choice but to comply, they devise an unusual plan to beat Gretel’s self-esteem and attempt to discourage her from competing.

With the odds stacked against her, will Gretel compete and will she, in her own way, defeat the cruel Nazi ambitions and ideals?
